About Toofles:

Toofles Foundation

At Toofles Foundation, we believe that there are hundreds of NGOs doing wonderful work …. changing the lives of millions of people who need a little bit of help. We also believe that there are millions of people who are happy to help…. they only need a simple and convenient way to give this help. Toofles is therefore designed to be a cause agnostic fund-raising platform, that undertakes various value added initiatives to raise funds and direct them to NGOs chosen by  the donors.

Speak For Smiles

The Toofles-ICICI Foundation Speak for Smiles initiative is a 10 part series telecast on CNBC-TV18. Speak for Smiles brings respected business leaders to the Welingkar Institute of Management for a lively interaction with students. By listening to all time greats like Dr. Nitin Nohria, Mr. K V Kamath, Mr.Harish Manwani, Ms. Indra Nooyi, Dr. Ashok Ganguly  and many others, young students get an opportunity to interact with these global leaders and learn from their experiences. At the same time, funds are raised for the NGOs nominated by the global leaders.

Style for Smiles

This is a one of a kind charity fashion show, held each year at The Taj, Mumbai where over 40 CEOs from Corporate India come together to walk the ramp for India’s leading designers in support of their favourite charities. Mentored by Anil Chopra, Style for Smiles has become a signature Toofles event. Our media partners : ET Now, Business Outlook, Verve

  

Culture for Smiles

This platform aims to promote fine culture through upcoming as well as established artists. Toofles brings together the artist, the venue (typically a club or a corporate auditorium) and the audience and raises funds for charity whilst promoting awareness of the performing arts. Toolfes had oraganised numerous cultural events with the likes of Dhanashree Pandit Rai, Merlin D’souza, Mandakini Trivedi, Keka Sinha, Jonqui and Jayanti Sundaram.

Art for Smiles

A joint effort with Studio3 Gallery, the ICIA Gallery and the Art Invest India team, Art for Smiles brought together more than a 100 works of art – a fascinating collection of the maestros and upcoming artists.

Goody Bags and Dignity Bags

 For our patrons who like to donate in cash, we recommend the sponsorship of  Goody Bags (for children) or  Dignity Bags (for the destitute elderly) for Rs. 200 each. These bags are packed from our collection of second hand things and given to Goonj – our distribution partner, who ensures it reaches the poorest and remotest parts of the country under their various community programs.

Books for Smiles

Toofles requests all book lovers to donate as many books as they can and buy other peoples’ second hand books to generate funds for charity. These second hand book bazaars are held at various residential complexes, corporate offices, colleges and cafes. ! Bestsellers, non-fiction, management books, religious texts, childrens’ books …..we stock everything !

Quilts for Smiles

At Rs. 900 apiece, buy beautifully stitched Toofles Quilts. With the export quality fabric of the quilt being donated by our generous patrons and the fill given at subsidized rates, a large part of the proceeds of the sale of Toofles Quilt goes to charity.

Crossword-WeSchool Books for Smiles

12 Crossword stores across Mumbai in from December 2010 and January 2011in association with WeSchool and Toofles Foundation gave an opportunity to book lovers donate second hand books….. all for a good cause. Ms Shobhaa De was our mentor for this initiative.

The Magical India Bus

The Ashok Leyland Magical India Bus, designed by Dilip Chhabria is an 8 seater, luxury bus which will ply on the Delhi-Agra-Jaipur route.  This bus aims to give both Indian and foreign tourists an exhilarating experience of India on the road. A large part of the profit from the sale of tickets would go to charity.
