A  WORD FROM THE FOUNDER

Thank you for visiting the Toofles Foundation blog.

We, at Toofles, have one burning desire – to create a revolution in “giving”. We know that most people want to donate but they don't know how to and where to donate. Toofles Foundation is a fund raising platform that converts your kind into cash and the proceeds generated go to your favorite charity ! All you have to do is just reach out deep into your cupboards for that “something” which you have not used for months and give it away to us - we will do the rest for you.

Although selling of second hand stuff is what Toofles originally started out with, we've grown tremendously over the past year and we've plunged into a whole umbrella of initiatives names.

I believe we can help change a million lives over the next 10 years.

We all want to contribute.
We all want to impact lives.
We all want to make a difference.

In addition to our core function of generating revenue through seconds-hands, I urge you all to check out  some other very interesting initiatives that have been developed in the first year of Toofles' inception - on the basis of constant evaluation and feedback that our experience has given us.

I sincerely hope that each one of you will soon join our efforts.

Anita Sahoo

Senior Manager Operations, Toofles Foundation 

Anita is an MBA (Finance) graduate and has has a few years of experience in the finance industry previously. She moved to Toofles as she felt that the non profit sector was truly satisfying and her natural calling too. She has been with Toofles since its inception and has been indispensable in Toofles' daily operations.

Rashmi Hosangady

Rashmi started her career in the hospitality industry and eventually moved to other areas of her interest which includes social work and the arts. She has previously headed "Satvika" - an organization working to demystify the arts. Rashmi is now an integral part of Toofles, providing constant guidance and advice and taking part in all of Toofles' initiatives.  

Kavita Shah

CEO, Concern India Foundation

Kavita is a finance professional with over 16 years of experience in the development sector. She has been instrumental in the growth of Concern India Foundation from a city centric organization to a pan India organization. Her core belief has always been that the less fortunate need opportunities not charity. Kavita has always worked towards a vision of making the underprivileged lead a life of self reliance and dignity. 

Sharmila Paranjpe 

Independent Consultant for CSR.

Sharmila is a business professional with 17 years of experience on the IT industry. She worked with Wipro for a long time across multiple industry segments. She has now moved away from her business career to participate in initiatives that give back to the community.

Sales Tax
